Hi I’m Brittany Gonzalez, creator of Modern Mom on the Move.
Modern Mom on the Move (MMOTM) started as a personal blog following the birth of my daughter. At the time, my son was already ten years old, I was managing a full-time career, social life, a spoiled Chihuahua and being married to a Gemini man.
It felt like I was starting all over again with the introduction of our baby girl.
I was looking for a community of like-minded, like-situated moms/women to share the story of my new walk in life. Through consistent blogging, I found a virtual community of support for my new normal of life.
One day I decided to bring my virtual community together in real life for an in-person event. By the end of the event, the audience labeled it the “first annual” conference and we have been growing in numbers and impact ever since.
Today, Modern Mom on the Move serves as a community resource for event curation. We specialize in connecting busy mothers with resources and outlets to navigate the controlled chaos we lovingly refer to as motherhood.
Our community consists of moms and women in general who serve in a maternal capacity – expectant moms, grandmothers, aunts, mentors, older sisters, fur mamas, etc.
Every May, Modern Mom on the Move hosts its annual conference by and for mothers. This one day event is highly anticipated and grows even more each year!
Throughout the year, we host a variety of events including meet-ups, kid friendly events, mom workshops and virtual events.
